A Beautiful Spot at Lake Michigan Beach, Coloma, MI, 1925

Card type
Printed photo

About this postcard

The view looks from a shaded grove of trees toward the bright water and sky of Lake Michigan. Wooden benches and a vine-covered arbor or pergola sit among the trunks, making a quiet picnic or resort spot. Coloma, in southwestern Michigan's fruit-growing country, sat in the summer resort region that drew Chicagoans to Lake Michigan beaches in the 1920s.
