Four freshly caught trout lie side by side on a bed of grass, flanked by two fishing rods with reels and a long-handled landing net, with a woven creel or basket at the top of the frame. The card's own caption, "A Fine Day's Catch," presents the scene as a classic angler's trophy photograph, a popular novelty subject on mid-century American postcards. A blank banner at the lower right was left for a sender's message.
Linen-textured stock with visible crosshatch weave; blank message banner printed at lower right; no white border; slight edge wear.
No postmark; card is unmailed. Divided-back "POST CARD" with "THIS SPACE FOR WRITING MESSAGES" and stamp box "PLACE STAMP HERE / MADE IN U.S.A."; linen-textured stock, no white border on front. Publisher imprint along left edge, card number 64262. Clean, light edge wear.
