A catch of four pale-bellied trout is laid out side by side on a grassy bank, with a landing net standing upright behind them and a split-cane fishing rod with a reel framing the scene at left and right. The printed caption "A Fine Day's Catch" gives the card its own title, a standard humorous-sporting greeting of the linen era. Such cards were popular novelties among anglers and were often mailed as congratulations or good-luck notes after a successful trip.
Linen-textured stock with visible crosshatch weave; caption set in a yellow banner at upper right and a blank yellow strip at lower right; thin white border.
No postmark; unused divided-back card. Linen-texture stock, blue imprint, no white border on the picture side. Light soiling/toning only.
