About this postcard

A New Year greeting card with a brown-toned woodland scene of bare trees and snow. A scroll beside the trees carries a verse that begins "The New Year comes, the old year goes," and the lower panel reads "A GLAD NEW YEAR" in ornamental gold letters. The card was sent as a holiday greeting with no handwritten message, a common use of small decorative postcards in the early 20th century.
