Adolf Körber's illustration shows a child kneeling in prayer in bed while a large winged angel sits beside the bed and gestures toward a glowing infant Jesus above. A decorated Christmas tree with lit candles stands behind them. The scene draws on traditional Catholic Christmas imagery: the Christ child as a radiant vision, a guardian angel close at hand, and the candlelit tree at the center of a domestic holiday.
