About this postcard

An aerial view looks across Chippewa Lake, with open water in the foreground and a sandy beach, a large pavilion or bathhouse, and a dock along the tree-lined near shore. Beyond the far bank, fields and an oval track stretch into the countryside. Chippewa Lake, in Medina County, Ohio, was a summer resort area for bathers and picnickers from nearby towns. The lake was home to Chippewa Lake Park, a resort and amusement park that drew visitors from the surrounding region; the beach and pavilion visible here were part of that summer trade.
