About this postcard

An elevated view looks down the Mississippi River at Memphis, with long steel truss bridges crossing the water in the foreground and the city riverfront along the right bank. A barge tow and riverboats work the river below. The newest span, the Memphis & Arkansas Bridge, opened in 1949 and gave the city a direct highway crossing between Tennessee and Arkansas.
