About this postcard

An aerial view looks over downtown Waltham, Massachusetts, with the town common, surrounding streets, and mill buildings along the Charles River in the foreground. Waltham, 10 miles west of Boston, grew as a center of precision manufacturing. Its watchmaking industry later gave way to high-tech companies, and the city was also known as a residential community.
