The elevated view looks along the broad sand beach at Wasaga Beach, Ontario, with a line of trees and low buildings behind the shore and several early automobiles parked on the sand. Bathers stand near the water, and the beach stretches into the distance along Nottawasaga Bay. Wasaga Beach was developing as a summer resort in the early 20th century, and the cars on the sand suggest vacationers arriving by motor as auto touring opened up Ontario's beach communities.
