About this postcard
Aerial view of the Alameda Hospital complex, a multi-story brick and stucco institutional building with a central entrance pavilion, flagpole and landscaped lawn, standing beside the waters of San Francisco Bay. Period automobiles are parked along Clinton Avenue in front of the hospital, and a palm tree and neighboring houses appear in the foreground. The card is a sepia-toned photographic view of the hospital as it stood in the interwar years, when Alameda's community hospital served the island city across the bay from San Francisco.
