The view looks across the Niagara River to the American Falls, with a wooded island dividing the stream and the smaller Bridal Veil Falls at right. The water breaks into green-white rapids below. The scene is from the New York shore near Prospect Point in Niagara Falls State Park, established in 1885 as the oldest state park in the United States. By the early 1900s the falls were a standard stop for tourists and a common subject for scenic views.
White border; coarse-grained color lithograph screen visible; small printed number "1112" at lower right; light edge and corner wear.

Koeber & Co., 68 Beaver St., New York City) with "The PCK Series" peacock logo; stamp box reads "POSTAGE 1c. for United States and Canada 2c. for abroad" (pre-1907 undivided-back era).
