About this postcard

Snow dusts the street beside the American Waltham Watch Factory in Waltham, Massachusetts. The long brick factory row and its towers run along the right side of the view, with bare trees, utility poles, and a fenced frontage receding under an overcast winter sky. The plant anchored Waltham's watch industry, the trade that gave the city its Watch City nickname and made the works a landmark on the north side of town.
