About this postcard
The Art Gallery at the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery in San Marino, California, viewed from its entrance terrace. Ivy covers much of the mansion's walls and roofline, two tall columnar evergreens flank the steps, and carved stone urns holding agave plants stand on the low walls. A columned portico rises behind. The building began as Henry and Arabella Huntington's residence and became the art gallery of the institution Henry E. Huntington founded in 1919. The estate's grounds and collections made it a cultural site in Southern California.
