The card shows a ravine garden in bloom: masses of pink and purple azaleas banked along a still pond, tall moss-draped trees on the slopes, and a small white footbridge crossing the water. The printed caption names it the Azalea Ravine Gardens of Palatka, Florida, and calls it "a wonderland of marvelous beauty and gorgeous color." Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka was a New Deal-era project of the 1930s, laid out in a steephead ravine with azaleas, and remains known for its spring bloom displays.
