A landscaped plaza with curving walkways, hedges and a red-tiled open pavilion leads toward the arched bandshell, with the Atlantic Ocean and beach beyond. The Daytona Beach Bandshell was built in 1937 as a Works Progress Administration project and became the centerpiece of the city's oceanfront park and boardwalk entertainment district. The card's caption borrows the long-standing local slogan for the city's hard-packed strand, "The World's Most Famous Beach."
Linen-textured stock with a thin white border; small American flag on a pole at the top of the picture.
No postmark. Divided-back linen card (C.T. Art-Colortone), no white border on front; light pencil "23-" at top right; otherwise clean and unwritten.
