About this postcard

A tall, flat-roofed commercial office tower rises above the street corner, its plain brick-and-stone facade pierced by many rows of evenly spaced windows above a rusticated base with arched storefront openings; small figures and a wagon animate the sidewalk below. The card names it as the Bank of Commerce Building in Kansas City, Missouri, one of the city's early-20th-century downtown office blocks. The view is rendered in the bright, tinted color typical of mid-century American view cards.
