Barn with horses and child, Seven Stars, PA, 1911

Card type
Linen

About this postcard

A large yellow barn with a dark roof stands behind a grassy field dotted with white flowers, with a big tree leaning over the scene. Two dark horses stand in harness in the foreground, a small child in a yellow dress is near them, and a person stands by the building. The setting is a rural Pennsylvania farmstead of the kind common in 1911, when horses still did much of the heavy field and road work. The card was mailed to Seven Stars, Pennsylvania, in 1911.
