The card pictures the Bath Tub, a steaming hot spring in Norris Basin, Yellowstone National Park, with two visitors standing on the terrace behind it. Norris Geyser Basin is one of Yellowstone's major thermal areas and was named for Philetus W. Norris, an early superintendent of the park. Haynes, whose copyright line appears on the card, was a well-known Yellowstone photographer and concessioner whose views helped popularize the park.
