About this postcard

A sandy bathing beach on Burt Lake, with swimmers in the water, a diving raft offshore, and sunbathers along the shore. Red-roofed bathhouses and a dense stand of pines back the beach. Burt Lake is part of northern Michigan's Inland Waterway, and Indian River served as a summer resort stop between Burt and Mullett lakes, drawing vacationers to the area's lake beaches in the 1930s.
