A smiling woman in a yellow bathing suit sits on the sand beneath a large striped parasol, holding a hand mirror; at right a pennant reads "TAMPA FLA." and the comic caption puns, "They say money talks. Gee Whiz, all it says to me in TAMPA FLA. is 'Good-bye.'" Tampa was developing as a winter tourist destination in the early 20th century, and souvenir comic cards like this used local place names for light humor.
White border; printed card number 16124 at lower right.
No postmark, stamp, or handwriting; unused divided-back card. Printed in blue-green on cream stock, heavy foxing/toning spots across the back, slight wear at corners. Front shows a white border and a coarse screen halftone typical of ca. 1910s novelty pennant cards.
