Bayfront Park and hotels, Miami, Florida, circa 1940

Card type
Linen

About this postcard

A view across the flower beds and lawns of Bayfront Park toward a skyline of white Miami hotel towers, palms rising among them. Bayfront Park was laid out on filled bayfront land in the 1920s and became a signature Miami promenade, with the tall hotels of Biscayne Boulevard rising behind it. The card's bright, saturated palette and visible fabric-like screen are typical of mid-century linen postcards of Florida resort scenery.
