The Bellamy River runs through a wooded stretch near Dover, New Hampshire, with tall pines and dense deciduous trees along the banks, boulders breaking the shallow water, and a large frame building, apparently a mill, at the bend in the distance. The river rises in Strafford County and empties into the Piscataqua estuary below Dover. Its falls and banks supported saw and grist mills from the seventeenth century onward, and the view reflects the mill history that shaped the town's riverfront.
White border along the bottom edge carrying the printed caption in red; slight wear at the corners and edges.
No postmark; unused card. Undivided back with "This side is for the address." and stamp box instructions; H.C. Leighton Co. imprint, Made in Germany, No. 350. Light soiling and slight corner wear.
