Jefferson Highlands, N. H. October 5, 1905. This is the first Carnegie library I ever saw. It is very pretty. Just received your letter and am sor- ry you did not hear from me until Tuesday We tried our best to get a letter to you. Probably now you hear regularly, We only have one mail a day from here, quite out of the world. This is another beautiful day. The wind blew hard all night and is still blow- ing.
