About this postcard
A row of small white tourist cabins with parked automobiles in front, a large billboard reading "Strictly Modern BILLINGS CAMP" in the foreground, and a rooftop sign on the office building. Open prairie and low hills lie beyond the camp. The camp sat just off the junction of U.S. Highways 85 and 16 South at New Castle (now generally Newcastle), Wyoming, a northeastern Wyoming town near the South Dakota line. Motor courts like this one served auto tourists in the 1920s and 1930s with cabins and parking just off the highway.
