About this postcard

A view across a still blue pond in Franke Park's bird sanctuary, framed by tall dark tree trunks and flowering shrubs in pink and orange, with white swans and ducks on the water and small birds perched on snags. Franke Park, named for Fort Wayne businessman and parks benefactor Charles Louis Franke, was laid out in the early twentieth century and remains the city's largest park, long noted for its wooded ponds and waterfowl.
