About this postcard

An elevated autumn view over the town of Brattleboro, Vermont, with rooftops and church spires rising among brightly colored foliage and the Connecticut River visible in the middle distance beyond wooded hills. Brattleboro, settled in the 1720s on the Connecticut River in southeastern Vermont, became a printing and manufacturing center and was long a stop on the Boston-to-Albany rail route. The card's vantage point is a hilltop observation tower overlooking the valley.
