An elevated, bird's-eye view looks down over the flat-roofed commercial blocks and streets of downtown Corpus Christi, with the broad blue water of Corpus Christi Bay filling the horizon behind the town. The printed caption names the scene directly. Corpus Christi, on the bay of the same name along the Texas Gulf Coast, grew into a regional port and trading center in the early 20th century, and this linen-era view shows its mid-century downtown grid of low storefronts and a few taller buildings.
Linen-textured stock with a white border; handwritten note in blue ink across the sky at upper left; Curt Teich-style number 3A-H1502 at lower right.
No postmark. Blank back — no message, address, or stamp. Linen-era Curteich "C.T. Art-Colortone" stock (front bears series no. 3A-H1502), white border, undivided back with no divider line.
