Bird's-eye view of Salt Lake City, Utah, circa 1905

About this postcard

A bird's-eye view over Salt Lake City, with the Temple and its six-spired Tabernacle-like assembly hall rising above the trees at right, red-brick houses and orchards in the foreground, and the snow-capped Wasatch Range along the horizon under a pastel sunset sky. The caption names the scene simply as a bird's-eye view of Salt Lake City, Utah. The white temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, completed in 1893, and the adjoining Tabernacle dominate the skyline in such early views of the city.
