An elevated view looks down on a winding boulevard threading through rolling green hills and dark clumps of trees, with a small red-roofed building at the right. The card names it simply as a boulevard scene in St. Joseph, Missouri, a city set on bluffs above the Missouri River whose parkway drives were a local point of pride. The sweeping curves and grassy slopes shown here are typical of the landscaped boulevard systems built in American cities in the early twentieth century.
