About this postcard
A novelty "Busy Tourist's Correspondence Card" built around a small color view of snow-streaked Rocky Mountain peaks rising above a dark conifer shoreline and a blue lake, headed "Greetings from the Rocky Mts., Colorado." The surrounding printed panels are a fill-in-the-blank checklist for travelers, offering boxes to tick for the addressee ("Dear Friend / Mama / Sweetheart"), mood, opinions of Colorado, business, wishes, and how time is spent, including local options such as "At Estes Park" and "At Pike's Peak." Such checklist or "correspondence" cards were popular inexpensive novelties of the 1930s-1950s, letting a tourist send a partly pre-written message by simply marking boxes.
