Two saguaros stand on rocky desert ground with low scrub and distant hills under a blue sky. The right-hand cactus has a rare fasciated, or crested, crown that spreads into a broad fan; the left is a normal columnar saguaro. The caption's "sahuaro" is an older spelling of saguaro, the giant cactus of the Sonoran Desert around Tucson. Fasciation is an unusual growth pattern that can produce the wide, fan-shaped crest seen here.
Linen texture; printed caption at top and code at right margin.
No postmark and no address or message — unused card. Linen-era Curt Teich 'C.T. Art-Colortone' divided back; pencil dealer mark '1.50' (with scribble) at top right. Light toning/soiling on cream stock.
