About this postcard

The Cambria County Court House in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, fills the frame: a Victorian stone building with a tall central tower and mansard-roofed pavilions, seen from across the street. Bare trees and a few evergreens stand on the lawn, utility poles and wires cross the sky, and a frame house shows at the right edge. Ebensburg sits high in the Allegheny Mountains and has been the seat of Cambria County since the early 1800s; the courthouse square remains the center of the small town. The sender's note is ordinary February small talk, asking Edith how she is in "this nice warm weather" and mentioning the groundhog, with school and a promised visit to come.

Dear Edith, How do you like this nice warm weather the ground hog brought? Hope you are well and able to go to school. Will come to see you when I can but do not know when that will be. Nellie
