A view across the water toward a wooded shore dotted with small white cottages and camp buildings. The printed caption calls the scene "A Beauty Spot of Hamlin Lake" and names the cluster "Camp Arcadia on the Upper Hamlin." Hamlin Lake lies just north of Ludington, and in the early 1900s its shores drew summer visitors to cottages and camp grounds reached by boat and rail from town. A line in the message mentions a lake voyage, fitting the resort traffic of the period.
