Campbell-Hagerman College, Lexington, KY, 1907

About this postcard

The view shows Campbell-Hagerman College in Lexington, Kentucky: a central Greek Revival-style hall with a columned portico, flanked by taller brick dormitory or classroom blocks, with lawns, young trees, and a low fence in front. The college was a women's school in Lexington in the early 20th century. Its classical front and brick wings gave the campus the formal, collegiate look that private schools of the period favored.
