About this postcard

Two stacked views show the yellow CBS Columbia Square building with its vertical "COLUMBIA" sign and the adjoining Radio Center restaurant; below, the green NBC studio block has large "NBC" lettering on its rounded corner and cars parked at the curb. The caption calls them the new homes of CBS and NBC broadcasting stations and notes that the ultramodern architecture and equipment made guided inspection tours an attraction. Both complexes opened in 1938, when radio production was consolidating in Hollywood: Columbia Square at Sunset Boulevard and Gower Street, and NBC's Radio City at Hollywood and Vine.
