A gravel walkway curves through McCulloch Park past a large bed of canna-like foliage and shrubs, with a tiered stone fountain and basin in the middle distance beneath tall shade trees. The park was laid out on land in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and named for Hugh McCulloch, the city's noted banker and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury; by the early 20th century it was a favored promenade ground with fountains and floral bedding displays of the sort shown here.
