A small, single-storey white frame chapel with a pedimented portico supported by square columns, set behind bare winter trees on a grassy lot. The halftone reproduction gives the building a plain, classical-revival look typical of early Christian Science chapels, which were often modest frame or brick structures built by small local congregations before larger branch churches were erected. The card carries no location, so the town cannot be determined from the scan.
White border with a black rule framing the halftone image; undivided-back era stock. Handwritten inscription in blue ink in the right margin (rotated): a name, apparently "Mr. Mary Chadwick" (possibly "Mr. & Mrs. Chadwick"), the date "12-25-06", and a second name, apparently "Mr. & Mrs. Stubber" [illegible].
Postmark: SPRINGFIELD, MASS. DEC 25 (year not legible). Undivided back souvenir card with decorative seal and "This side for the address only"; 1¢ green Franklin stamp; light edge/corner wear.
