About this postcard

A view across the Charles River to the Waltham Watch Factory, where a tall smokestack rises above the mill buildings on the far bank. Bare trees frame the right foreground, and the factory is reflected in the still water. Waltham was a leading center of American watchmaking, and the riverside works were a local landmark.
