A row of Cheyenne dwellings — tall tipis and a long arbor or windbreak of upright poles lashed with horizontal rails — stands on a grassy prairie under a pale sky, with a few figures in dark clothing and blankets gathered near the entrance. The card's own caption identifies the scene as a Cheyenne Indian Village in Oklahoma. Such views were commonly sold as souvenirs of the Cheyenne and Arapaho communities of western Oklahoma in the early 20th century.
