About this postcard

A child in a polka-dot dress, red collar, black stockings, and red shoes holds a pinwheel beside the printed caption “Have Walked Untill I’m Tired To Death.” The exaggerated complaint gives the small figure a mock-adult weariness. Effie sent the card from Oneida, New York, in July 1909, writing that she had arrived safely and mentioning the crops.
