Christmas greeting with holly, candle and gifts, Walton, NY, 1932

Card type
Linen

About this postcard

The card shows a spray of holly with red berries, a lit candle, and wrapped gifts against a pale ground. A four-line verse opens "At this season pervasive with splendor of joy" and wishes that each gift fit the day and the giving, with nothing withheld that would banish troubles or make life more worth living. Mrs. Mary Niles sent it to Mr. and Mrs. M. K. Nichols in Walton, N.Y., with a short holiday note: she hopes their Christmas will be all happiness, says she keenly would like to see them, and reports that she is quite well.
