Embossed Christmas postcards like this were widely exchanged in the early 20th century, combining colorful lithography with raised decorative borders.

Postmark: AMESBURY MASS. DEC 24 8:30 AM 1908 (second strike at lower left, same date). Divided-back embossed Christmas card with green 1¢ Franklin stamp; light edge wear.
