About this postcard
The Church of the Sacred Heart dominates this downtown Tampa view: a light-stone Romanesque Revival church with a tall rose window, an arcaded triple portal, and a dome crowned by a cross. A paved street runs in front, lined with period automobiles and a red-brick building at the right. The Catholic parish church was built in the early twentieth century and remains one of Tampa's historic religious landmarks. A World Wide Exchange Club notice reflects the mid-century postcard-exchange hobby that carried such views through the mail.
