About this postcard

The City Hall in San Diego's Civic Center stands beyond a broad plaza, a white stucco building with red tile roofs and a central tower. Red and yellow tulips fill the foreground, and a dark automobile is visible at the right side of the plaza. The printed text calls the building the first unit of a Civic Center for the combined city and county, a $1,000,000 administration building on San Diego's waterfront used jointly by both governments. A traveler with only two hours in town sent the card, hoping to see as much of San Diego as he could.
