A nighttime view of Omaha's City Hall tower, its windows lit against a dark, cloudy sky. The tower rises through the center of the frame, with the bulk of the adjoining building visible at the left.
Omaha in the first decade of the 1900s was a railroad and meatpacking center, and locally issued night views like this one showed off the electric lighting of a downtown that was still young. The card comes from Barkalow Bros., an Omaha firm that published view cards of its own city alongside stationery and novelties.
Halftone dot pattern; printed caption at bottom; first letter of caption partially cut off; no white border visible.
No postmark. Divided-back 'Quality Series' card published by Barkalow Bros., Omaha, Neb.; dealer pencil mark '2.50 B NE' at top left; no message, address, or stamp present.
