About this postcard

A paved path curves between an ivy-covered stone wall and a grassy bank that falls away to a rocky Atlantic shoreline. The Cliff Walk follows Newport's eastern edge, a public route known for its ocean views and for the Gilded Age summer cottages set above it. By the early 20th century it was an established promenade for visitors taking in the sea air.
