A single coconut palm stands on a lawn beside a white walkway, its trunk ringed and slightly swollen at the base, carrying a heavy cluster of brown coconuts among green fronds. Behind it are a white stucco building with dark windows, a bed of red flowers, and other palms and broadleaf trees under a blue sky. Coconut palms were a standard emblem of Florida's subtropical image in the early 20th century, and views like this were sold to winter visitors as souvenirs of the state's tropical scenery.
White border; visible linen crosshatch texture; small nick on the left edge.
No postmark; divided back; white border; linen texture; light edge wear; printed poem and publisher imprint; no handwriting or address.
