About this postcard

View of Coit Tower, a tall fluted Art Deco concrete tower, rising above landscaped grounds with trees and beds of red flowers under a pastel sky. The tower honors Lillie Hitchcock Coit, an early San Francisco figure and supporter of the city's volunteer fire department; her bequest funded the monument, completed in 1933.
