Stone markers at the summit of Berthoud Pass, Colorado, mark the Continental Divide at 11,315 feet above sea level. A large sign reads "Continental Divide, Berthoud Pass, Elev. 11,315 Ft." and arrows point toward the Pacific and Atlantic watersheds. Snowy peaks and pine trees rise behind the markers. The pass carried U.S. 40, promoted on the card as the scenic mountain highway from coast to coast, and was a high crossing of the Front Range west of Denver.
Linen texture; no white border visible; small highway sign at left is illegible.
