About this postcard
The Coral Motel appears as a single-story brick and glass motor court, its long row of unit doors facing a paved parking apron. A tall blue neon-style sign reading "Coral MOTEL" with a VACANCY panel stands on a pole in the foreground lawn, and several 1950s cars are parked along the building. The printed advertisement places the motel on Highway No. 20 and 3A, three minutes from Niagara Falls, and lists single and double units, shower and bath in every room, and television. Sam Covelli and Carl Greco owned and managed the motel. Motor courts like this served the growing auto tourist trade to Niagara Falls in the 1950s, when a room television was still a notable convenience.
